Condoms are medical devices. Read these instructions before use. SixtyNine 001 contains natural rubber latex: do not use if either partner is allergic to latex.
- Check the expiry date on the box and the foil. Don't use a condom that is past its date or whose foil is damaged.
- Open the foil carefully at the serrated edge. Don't use teeth, scissors or sharp nails.
- Put the condom on the erect penis before any genital contact. Pinch the tip to leave room for semen and roll it down to the base.
- If you add lubricant, use a water-based or silicone-based one. Oil-based products such as body oil, lotion or petroleum jelly weaken latex.
- After ejaculation, hold the base of the condom while withdrawing, before the erection is lost.
- Use each condom only once. Wrap it and put it in the bin, not the toilet.
- If a condom breaks or slips off, speak to a pharmacist or doctor about emergency contraception and testing.
Store in a cool, dry place out of direct sunlight.
Used correctly every time, condoms are up to 98% effective at preventing pregnancy, and about 82% with typical use (NHS). They also reduce the risk of sexually transmitted infections.
